Editorial Policy

Who writes this

CALQEVA is made by a small team. Articles and explanations are published under the CALQEVA editorial team name rather than invented author profiles, because we would rather show no byline than a fabricated one. We do not claim professional credentials we do not hold, and we do not describe ourselves as advisors.

How a calculator is built

• The formula is taken from its standard published definition, not reverse-engineered from another website.
• It is implemented as a separate, tested function, independent of the interface.
• Automated tests check it against known values, edge cases such as a zero rate, and invalid input.
• The page then states the formula, defines each input, and works through an example with real numbers.
• Assumptions and limits are written down on the page rather than left implicit.

Rules that change

Tax slabs, GST rates, contribution ceilings and scheme limits are stored as versioned data separate from the calculators. That lets us update them quickly after a Budget or a Council decision, and show which year a result applies to. When a rule changes mid-year, we say which version is being used.

What we will not publish

• Fake reviews, testimonials, ratings or user counts, and no review schema claiming them.
• Invented statistics, or numbers presented without a source when a source is needed.
• Invented experts, qualifications or “reviewed by” credits.
• Content designed to rank rather than to answer, including padding around a calculator that nobody would read.
• Advertising disguised as a result, a recommendation or editorial content.

Corrections

Errors get fixed rather than quietly removed. If a formula or a rule was wrong, we correct it and update the page. Reports from readers are the fastest way we find problems, and they are always welcome at contact@calqeva.com.

Independence

The site is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no influence over which calculators we build, what our explanations say, or which products we mention. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage or for links inside articles.

Limits of what we do

We build tools and explain how they work. We do not give personal financial, tax, legal or medical advice, as our disclaimer sets out. Where a decision needs a professional, we say so instead of pretending a calculator is enough.
